Hi Sam, I'm jealous - don't forget to go to Fraser Island, and go sailing at the Whitsunday Islands in Australia... Whitehaven beach - possibly the most beautiful beach in the world! Queenstown and Wanaka in New Zealand are great, and one of my highlights: whale watching in Kaikoura! Have fun.... Michael.
Hi Sam. I'm very envious, how did you manage to get so much time off? Anyway, a few places worth visiting in New Zealand:
The glowworm caves in Waitomo (north island) Rotorua (north island) Franz-josef glacier (south island)
I never got any further south due to lack of time but one place I can recommend not going to is Greymouth. It's as dreary as it sounds. The abel tasman park at the top of the south island is very nice but I'm sure there are plenty of other national parks around to rival it.
Sam in Hong Kong, you should not miss a visit to Victoria Peak, the hill dominating Hong Long landscape, fantastic view of the city either during the day or at night, then Stanley market where you will find art, silk, paintings, Chinese art stones (beautiful) and much more, have a pint in the local (Stanley market) pubs on he sea too. And then do not miss a visit to the biggest Buddha ever on Lantau Island (where the new airport is). The gigantic statue is next to an ancient Buddhist monastery where you can eat a tasty lunch all vegetarian cooked directly by the monks. Very yummy.
Well done dude your a brave monkey! I will e watching your site close for updates. Wish i did trip like this when i had the chance. never mind. Find me a good boomerang sport!
